Washoku Agent places Japanese chefs in restaurants in 26 countries. Every placement starts with a restaurant that is opening, expanding or replacing a chef, and the same moment matters to everyone who supplies, equips, finances or houses that restaurant. The Washoku Partner Network is where those companies register once, and we match them to owners who ask, and to restaurants that are about to move.

Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Registration and introductions are free. If paid options such as featured profiles are added later, they will be optional and announced in advance.
Will my details be published?
No. This is a matching service, not a directory. Your profile is used to match you with owners’ requests, and introductions happen by email or WhatsApp. A public profile page is optional and only created if you ask for it.
What does the ‘matching assistant’ actually do?
It reads the structured profile you give us and, with your permission, your website, and compares them with each owner’s request: country, city, concept, timing and what they need. It proposes matches and drafts the introduction text. It never contacts anyone; a person at Washoku Agent reviews and sends every introduction.
I am looking for investment, or for a franchise partner. Can I join?
Yes. Owners and brands seeking capital register under ‘seeking investment’; brands seeking franchise partners abroad and operators looking for a Japanese brand register under ‘franchise’. At this stage these are introductions only.
I run a cooking school abroad, or I need a chef for a recipe or a pop-up. Is that covered?
Yes. Schools, vocational colleges and cooking classes abroad register under ‘school abroad’ and we introduce Japanese chefs who can teach for a term or a masterclass. Food companies, hotels and restaurants that need a chef for recipe development, a collaboration dinner, a pop-up or staff training register under ‘project’; we introduce chefs for defined assignments as well as permanent roles.
I run a restaurant. Can I join?
Yes, as a member. Members are never listed. You receive introductions to suppliers, equipment, training, premises and capital in your country, and you can tell us when you plan to open or expand.
I am a recruitment agency. Can I join?
Yes, under a shared-placement arrangement for Japanese-restaurant job orders. Agencies are reviewed before joining and are not introduced to other partners.
Which countries?
Any country with Japanese restaurants. Our placements cover 26 countries; matching starts where partners register first.
How do you use the information I share?
Only to make introductions and to follow up with owners. We do not sell data, and we do not pass your contacts to other partners without asking you.
